As one of a series of Arts Workshops being held in Playa Blanca there will be an

on Saturday 14 February: 2 pm to 4.30 pm
open to all ages and all levels.

Activities will include short, individual writing exercises; possibly group exercises (depending on numbers) with the emphasis on prose/story writing; fun poetry;opportunities, but no obligation, to share your work.

Advice and guidance will be given by the facilitator, Sue Almond , who, this month is celebrating 10 years of running creative writing classes on Lanzarote.

If you have a story you want to tell, if you have lots of ideas but just don’t know how to begin, if you have always fancied trying your hand at writing but never quite got around to it, this could be your starting point.

This introductory session is for everyone who wants to give it a try. It does not matter if you are a beginner or have already done some writing. Spelling and grammar are not important at this stage. The emphasis is on creativity and enjoyment and everyone will be able take something from the session, at their own level!

Why not come along enjoy meeting and spending time with other Wannabe writers, in a pleasant informal atmosphere.

It is possible that a successful day could lead to further occasional or regular sessionsat this venue, if people are interested,

which would include stimulus and regular writing practice; advice and information on Themes in stories, Characterisation, Short

story writing, Planning and Structuring a novel, Points of View, Economy of language, Description, Writing to Inform, Writing to

Summarise, Writing to persuade, An introduction to poetry and verse
