Homework: Before class ask everyone to read ‘Titles’ and to jot down a word or phrase that they think would make a good title for a story.
Sometime a word or phrase just shouts out that it would make a good title for a story or a novel.
Equally sometimes even after writing a piece we have trouble deciding on a title.
Share one or two that you have come up with for homework, in discussion around the table.
Try to identify what it is that people like about the ones they prefer.
Look at the following suggestion, and with that as your title start writing (20 – 30 minutes).
‘Not dead anymore’
Share and discuss, particularly the differences or similarities in story lines from the same title.
